Nestled between Rue du Midi and Rue des Bogards, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts offers a fascinating architectural journey covering over four centuries of history.  The majestic Neoclassical façade gives way to convent buildings once reserved for the Bogard religious order, the brick cloister of which still holds a few secrets. The Baroque chapel dating from the late 17th century is recognizable by its arches adorned with cherub heads. It’s an amazing space which now houses the computer lab. Added to this is a monumental extension in Eclectic style built at the end of the 19th century and heavily inspired by the Classical repertoire.  A wing built in the 1970s completes this architectural story.
