Palais Royal de Bruxelles lors du Festival ANTE, événement culturel majeur dans le cadre du Palais R.
UNKNOWN, 1876

This townhouse was built in 1876 for Emile Bockstael, the last mayor of Laeken before it was incorporated into the city of Brussels. Arranged in the traditional Brussels style, the ‘bel étage’ comprises, in succession, a Louis XVI drawing room, a second Louis XV drawing room and an Art Nouveau conservatory. The staircase, meanwhile, is distinguished by remarkable Egyptian-inspired paintings that extend all the way to the top floor. This eclectic ensemble offers an authentic glimpse into Brussels interiors from the second half of the 19th century. Today, the house serves as a venue for concerts and exhibitions organised by the Queens Brussels art gallery.
