Palais Royal de Bruxelles lors du Festival ANTE, événement culturel majeur dans le cadre du Palais R.

; F. MALFAIT, 1927

The Brussels Stock Exchange, a monumental building in an eclectic style, was built to plans by the architect Léon Suys and completed in 1873. Its construction formed part of a wider programme to enhance the city centre, which also included the covering of the River Senne and the development of the major boulevards in the city centre. Modified on several occasions by the architects J. Brunfaut (from 1892 to 1898) and F. Malfait (between 1924 and 1932), the Brussels Stock Exchange underwent a complete restoration between 2020 and 2023. Repurposed as a public gallery, it now welcomes visitors to its former waiting hall, dominated by a magnificent central dome. A gigantic mosaic by the artist Valérie Mannaerts covers the floor of this grand central hall and brilliantly blends contemporary and classical styles. The guided tour will conclude on the Stock Exchange’s rooftop, offering a breathtaking view of the capital.
