Many Freemasons served as architects, artists, soldiers, or political leaders at the sites and events that marked the Belgian Revolutions of 1789 and 1830.

Our tour highlights, on both the Belgian and French sides, Charles de Wailly (La Monnaie), Claude Fisco and Guillaume Geefs (Place des Martyrs), Louis David, Charles Rogier… who were members of the lodges of their time. On the other side, Prince Frederick, who led the Dutch troops during the battles of 1830, was Grand Master of the Grand Orient of the Netherlands.

An architectural and historical tour that evokes those turbulent times when the ideals of liberty and fraternity were put to the test.
